r/Maliciouscompliance "OBEY ME" "It'll Cost You Thousands, But Sure!"

r/Maliciouscompliance OP does IT work for a dentist office, and for some stupid reason the office is paying for a bunch of email licenses that are a complete waste of money. OP and his team disables the licenses to save the client money, but the client decides that OP screwed everything up and demands that ALL emails get a premium license. OP warns that this will cost them literally thousands of dollars a month, but the idiot doesn't listen so this malicious compliance will cost him!

Then a few weeks later he’ll say the same thing as if we hadn’t already talked about it. He takes corrections as a personal attack and won’t update any incorrect information he’s already learned, so every now and again we get some really old and stupid pieces of information that are easily proved to be wrong but he won’t stop saying them

Guess who were the only employees not invited to the party and were forced to work while in view of everyone else at the party. The IT team... we feel REAL appreciated thanks. Also pur team had the most vegans. And by the time we were allowed to even grab food before being sent back to the hell that was our job the vegan pizza was all gone. The salads were gone. The vegans on the team starved to death that very day. Jk. We got together as a team and ordered delivery for them because we aren't awful people. But yeah. We made sure they knew how we felt from then on. Unrelated to us the company ended up downsizing considerably.

This will bring a medium-sized gear towards you. 2. Grab the medium-sized gear and place it in the gear slot in the middle elevator window to open a part of the gate. 3. Take the small gear and place in a gear slot in the middle elevator window as well to open the other half of the gate. 4. Grab the medium-sized gear and place it higher up to run another conveyer belt. This will give you a big gear. 5. Once the big gear has fallen off the conveyer belt, put the medium sized gear where it was before. This will give you access to the big gear. 6. Grab the big gear and place it in the correct place in the right elevator window. After this, grab the small gear next, and then the medium sized gear. These both also must fit into a slot in the right elevator window. Then you're done!

  • I (25f) am a cake decorator at a grocery store. The first store I worked at would only give me 3 days to work on cakes and my other 2 days were on chicken. I hated it because I wasn't able to keep up on the cake demand with just 3 days. I would get bitched at from the manager and the store supervisor for having 1 empty spot in the cake case. So I started staying late on my cake days just to get a bit more done and I'd manage to make 70+ items every shift. I averaged 45hrs a week on part time pay. Holiday weeks I'd get 50+hours because of all the extra stuff I had to make. I hated my life as I was always stressed out and being put down by my manager. The last straw was 4th of July 2 years ago. I made about 400 cakes for the holiday display and managed to get my normal cake case to 100%. But It still wasn't good enough as both the manager and supervisor came over to me to berate me for not working hard enough. I turned in my 2 weeks the next day and got a new job at another grocery store a week after the 2 weeks were up. Best part though is that when I worked there, the store was consistently #1 in the region for cake sales but they don't even make top 10 since I left. Now at my new store I work 35hrs a week with better pay and I am fighting another store for #1 spot. Usually it's my store but every now and then the other store will steal my spot until I get it back. I love my job now and every month when I get the region top 10 list for my department, I smile knowing my old store will probably never be #1 again.

  • "Never mess with the IT guys" is so true... I had a good relationship with the IT guy at my first job at a travel agency. I was in the reservations department and mistakes on reservations could be done very easily, this was 24 years ago, so not many people knew how computers and programs worked. I was called by my boss one afternoon and was told I had made a mistake in a reservation and that the cost of fixing it for our clients was around 350 USD, like three months salary. I was pregnant, just about to take maternity leave which would reduce my salary way too much and I would have to work for free for many months. I was sure I hadn't made any mistake. I remembered I had written lots of notes on that reservation with the authorization of the operations manager and the deadlines she had given but suddenly there were no notes. I spoke to the IT guy and asked him to please check what had happened with that reservation. It took a little convincing but he did. A couple hours later, he came to my station with a bunch of prints with the history of my reservation. It showed who opened it, when, what time and most importantly, all the changes that had been made. I was able to prove it wasn't my fault or my mistake. It was from the operations manager assistant. She decided she could make decisions without the manager's authorization. She was charged the 350 dollars, she was demoted and was fired as soon as she paid for that mistake. Done people called me AH for calling her out, but I don't think it was fair for me when I was about to have my daughter, so yeah, it was good I didn't need with the IT guy :)

  • I have a funny story about when I cracked my knuckles when I was staying overnight with my aunt. So few years ago me and my family was on summer vacation in my hometown (We live a good 20 hours away)for a few weeks. My aunt that’s live a hour away from where me and my family was staying needed some help and offered to pay me. So I of course agreed to help, and did the tasks and got paid. The same night me and my aunt was watching TV I cracked my knuckles and she told me not to do it because she didn’t like the sound. So a few minutes later I had to stretch my arms and legs. And I swear I didn’t planned it (I and my oldest brother have a history of annoying our aunt from time to time as kids) every part of my body made a cracking sound. And my aunt got mad and laughing hard. Still love telling that story.

  • So one of your other videos made me think of an entitled customer. I just quit my job about 3 months ago and one of the things I experienced was a lot Of drunk golfers because I worked at a restaurant in a golf course. I have been on furlough for about a month and just had gotten back to work and my first day back this man comes in. I just want to State this is happening during the pandemic and I am a pretty new server who had only been there about three months prior. so I told the man that he cannot be inside due to the covid man date and my town. He says okay and I walk to the back to go help in the dish pit. I was a busser but had been bumped up to a server due to the lack of staff. I go back out to check on the people that are coming in to get their to-go orders and I see the man is still inside so I politely asked him again to go outside. I stayed again but due to the covid pandemic we are not allowed to have anyone but the servers and the bartender inside the actual restaurant dining room. I also stated we would be happy to accommodate him outside. Well she did not like my answer and had stated (Ec) “ well you don't have a sign posted I can be in here if I want, and you are a child and not an adult so you cannot tell me what to do.” this was my first job ever and I just recently turned 16. Have a very hard work ethic and I do not like to be disrespected. So I speak to him and tell him again “ we cannot have anyone inside due to the covid pandemic. I'm sorry you did not see the sign but there is a sign posted on the door that states that. We would be more than happy to accommodate you outside and take your order.” This man started physically making threatening gestures towards me and I've had enough. I leave to go get my head server. I will call her May ( not her real name.)Their conversation went like this ( May) “Sir how can I help you.” (Ec) “ this child is telling me that I am not allowed to come in here and order my food.” (may) “ Sir please do not call her that she is one of her best buzzers we have had and she's very respectful. And yes you are not allowed to be inside the restaurant due to The covid pandemic. as I'm sure she has stated we can help you outside.” (ec) THIS IS BULLSHITE” ( proceeds to stomp outside and start yelling to his golfing buddies of how let's just say stupid I am and and a lot more.) my head server precedes to go outside and rip him a new one. she yells at him telling him he had no right to say that about me this girl works her butt off and you should have a little more respect for people younger than you. She then proceeded to tell him that they will no longer be helping him and he can leave the course. I just have to say for this being my experience as a 16 year old at my first job was heartbreaking. This is the only restaurant in my area that has a reputation for the younger servers being treated like garbage. what around their buses may have had every busser quit and I have been the first bussers and after they reopened. I had more incidents like that and if you would like to hear more I can leave In the comments. I know it's not exciting like all the other ones but I thought it'd be fun to share.

  • I worked at this local retail store for around 7 years. For the first 4 it was pretty cool. Good workers. Good customers. Great everything. Here and there they’d make some weird choice but it is what it is. The other 3 years tho. Got more serious. New district manager was a pain. My once cool boss became less and less reasonable. My coworkers and customers thank god were still fine. I think what finally broke the camels back tho was the day I quit. It was Labor Day weekend. Saturday. Which is usually our busiest day to begin with but now adding the holiday rush. I had to get ads out, focus on all the back stock, and deal with customers. This usually wouldn’t be a big deal but my boss changed the schedule last second. Originally it was meant to be me, the new cashier, and back up. This would have worked. Yet they told my back up that they didn’t have to come in because they were cutting hours. I was livid. I called by boss wanting to know why they couldn’t work when this was such a stressful day to begin with. That I wouldn’t be able to get near anything done if I had to keep helping the new guy. All I asked was a little respect for working there for 7 years. They tell me it’s not their problem and that I’d have to deal with it. Excuse me? Not your problem? Not the manager of the stores problem to man the store? This was beyond all the times she denied me a better position. Beyond reason pay or health care. (I went from 5.50 to 10 in 7 fuckin years, they’re lucky I lasted so long.) So I had enough. Told her that it was her problem because I was going home and that was it. I left and eventually got a better job. The store used to be number one in our district and was one of the most valued store in the local community. A lot of people relied on it. Apparently not long after I left the store went to shit. The boss quit for awhile and now it’s so bad they’ve had to hire 5 plus new managers over time and it still isn’t as good as it used to be. For reference I eventually made peace with my old boss and everything is cool. It’s just funny how a store that was doing so well went down the shit because one or two employees left. They’ll never fix that store because they’re too hard headed to do it properly.
