  • In the.late 70s, I used exactly the same technique to deal with a wood thief.i knew who it was but I thought he needed a bit more than just a talking-to. I picked several choice logs, drilled each and filled each with a pound of FFFF (the fastest burning) black powder. I plugged the holes with plugs made from limbs of rhe same tree. I coated the end with nitric acid to give it an old, aged appearance. A couple of weeks went by. The loaded wood disappeared. One night, a large explosion ripped through our little community. I looked out and saw a large cloud of white smoke rising from behind the A-frame. He had the type of stove protruded through the wall with most of it being outside. I walked down to his place to look things over. The stove was peeled open and laying on the ground. I looked through to the door at the inside. It was wrecked and the place was filled with thick white smoke. It was difficult to suppress a grin as I walked back to my place. A couple of years later, they burned the cabin for the insurance, got caught and he spent several years in prison.

  • My son works as a Teachers Assistant in a Primary school here in the UK My son works in a Roman Catholic school and the kids are more than a little disruptive. About 3 months ago kids in the Year 5 class (9 to 10 year olds) were complaining about glue on the seat of their trousers or skirts. Someone was smearing glue stick on the chairs just before the kids were coming back into the class from lunch. One lunchtime my son walked into the class and caught a boy acting suspiciously near the desk of the child he supports. He asked him what he was doing in the class and he gave some excuse about needing to put his jacket away. He watched him walk away then he checked the chair and found the glue smeared all over the seat. so in order to teach the boy a lesson he swapped his chair with the glue chair. Everyone came in and sat down and after about 30 minutes the glue sticker kid tried to get up and realised he was stuck to the seat. He looked directly at my son! Who asked him, " is there a problem "D"? "Eeer yes Sir I need to change into the sports kit.....ROFL! The Phantom glue sticker was found and punished by his own hand! A few says later he over heard a conversation berseem "D" and another group of boys and a newbie, "bro, don't mess with Mr "T" he will EFF you up big time, that guy takes no prisoners, just ask the boys who play football at lunchtime.

  • The last story isn't really revenge because if any supervisor is being reviewed then any employee with a complaint comes forward with what evidence they have. In this day and age, it is almost impossible to not have some digital information to prove your point. I've not seen a complaint about a supervisor in well over a decade that didn't have a good background of digital detail. The gunpowder story was cute but old. I expected something more modern. The first story was so long and I don't believe half of the details. If this guy really did all this and his cousins didn't know then they do now. His story is so specific that any relative should be able to connect him to the real situation. He can only hope his cousins don't watch your MNthe channel.

  • The really interesting story start at 10:59. The "explosive coal" is nonsense. The Sultana blew due too a combination of the engineers trying to make more steam pressure and were hanging more weights on the pressure release valve, and low water. That is all. During the Civil War, there were no such things as high explosives, only black powder, and black powder doesn't do much at all until it is confined; due to the low velocity of deflageration, it just won't work to destroy things like locomotive engines and boilers. During the great-grandfather time though, smokeless powder had been invented and was readily available for people reloading theri own ammunition. It'd have worked, but not too spectacularly, but would have scared the living daylights out of anyone in the house.

One day I was making brownies for a bake sale held for my nieces school and I remembered how in collage I was pranked with Ex-lax brownies. It was not fun. Well I found a recipe on line for them and made a second batch of brownies but this batch was over over 50% Ex-lax by weight. I packed a few in my lunch. Well I found out who the thief was as he was a driver and well lets just say he had to pay for a detail of his work truck after. I told him what I done and he reported me to the owner, owner fired him for stealing. It was petty but to this day I get a good laugh out of it, and my lunch stopped disappearing. Win, win. I wonder if he steals other people's lunches where ever he ended up.

  • School officials in America like principals and vice principals get extra "merit" pay if their school gets exceptionally high marks such as high average grade ratings, high average test scores, and low average disciplinary incidents. It's either part of the no child left behind act or the new law that introduced the common core standard. It's supposed to create incentives for schools to do better, but honestly, all it does is create a perverse incentive for officials to falsify records

  • I believe merit pay, or whatever the OP in the high school story, was referring to, basically means the more behaved the school or other business is, and the fewer incidents that happen, the more money you make... Basically the opposite of car insurance, where you pay less on insurance the better you drive, and the fewer accidents you have... The more behaved the kids are, and fewer times cops or ambulances need to be called, the more money the principal or vice principal, would stand to make, because those "incidents" reflect badly on the school... Of course it's just a guess, and it could be completely wrong, but it could explain what the OP saw

  • Oh, I knew a similar teacher. She was the Rektor (principal? Sorry, I'm not english, so I'm not quite sure what the rank would be called in english, but she was the head of the school) in my elementary school. Both myself and my younger brother went to the same school, two years appart (he was in 2nd grade, I was in 4th grade). One of the students was kind of a problem child (which is kind of an understatement) and my brother was unfortunate enough to be in the same class. This boy pretty much terrorised the whole school. He picked on younger students, because they were weaker than him, and picked on older students in the knowledge, that they couldn't do anything back, or else *they'd* be the bad ones for starting a fight with a younger kid. During breaks, he'd walk around the schoolyard, calling others names, stealing stuff, grabbing and throwing their food on the ground, etc. Hell, one time he almost stabbed a pencil into my brothers eye, who barely avoided it, getting only a "slash" at the side of his face instead. There were many, *MANY* complaints about this boy. One time, I was called out of the sports lesson and into a classroom, along with my brother and several other students from different grades (I guess those, the most complaints came from), to talk about the issue. But instead of talking about how to solve the issue, we pretty much got a hour long speach about "how we shouldn't act like this" or "He has it pretty rough", and "his poor sister has a mental breakdown because you all complaint so much" etc etc, blah blah blah. We all missed one lesson and got late to the next, because the Rektor said "be nice to him", like Yeah, maybe he has it rough, and I felt bad for his sister, but nonetheless, this guy was physically and verbally attacking pretty much every other student at the school for months already and my brother almost lost an eye because of him (and I'm sure he wasn't the only one), and we were told to stop complaining by the Rektor.

The aunt was more than willing to bleed money here, there, and everywhere else while making other people pay her bills. With the aunt being so stubborn about not selling land that she can't at least break even on, that now means that money is locked up. How it was used: The fuse wire to the dynamite had different burn speeds. The different speeds used for different applications. You would tell your partner it was slow burn fuse. Let's say it took a minute to burn 1 foot of fuse. To save money you buy as short a fuse as you could. 1 foot a minute, I can light the fuse and go get into cover and all that takes let's say 4 minutes. So you'd get 5 foot of fuse. Plenty of time, to light the fuse and get in cover. But, you get fast burn fuse wire that burns 100 feet a minute. Your gold mine claim partner light the 5 feet of fuse, and a couple seconds later. Your partner is gone. He's just a memory and vapour! Happened a lot!
